She was predeceased by : her parents, Fred Ruskell and Laura Ruskell (Kilpatrick); her husband Maynard Thoreson of Rural Lakefield; her daughters, Janice Thoreson and Lori Thoreson; her granddaughter Jolene Bretzman Fritz; her siblings, Homer, Harlan, Warren, Bob, Helen Pigman, Dorothy Miller and Marian Olson; her siblings-in-law, Betty, Dorothy, Martha, Elsie, Lloyd Pigman, Bob Miller and Jim Olson; and her nieces and nephews, Mark Ruskell, Wayne Thoreson, Jim Thoreson, Ronnie Thoreson, Kenny Ruskell, Barb Wieskus, Lois Thoreson and Elaine Thoreson.
She is survived by : her children, Jane (Jim Bretzman, Sr.) of Lakefield and Carl Thoreson (Donna) of Martinez, California; her grandson Jim Bretzman, Jr. (JoAnn) of Lakefield; her great grandchildren, Jordan Bretzman (Brittany), Jacob Bretzman, Joshua Bretzman (Whitney) of Lakefield, Josie Hazell (Dwight), Killian Fritz of Royal, IA and Kayleigh Oeltjenbruns (Daniel) of Mt. Lake, MN; and her great great grandchildren, Dwight James Hazell, Jason James Bretzman, Adeline JoAnn Hazell, Jae Hazel Bretzman and Jack Everett Bretzman.
