He was predeceased by : his parents, Paul Goede and Bess Goede (Sidlo); his son Mark Goede; his sister Arlene Lucht; and his brother-in-law Clarence Lucht.

He is survived by : his wife Judy Thoreson; his sons, Dave Cushman (Eileen) and Eric Goede of Jackson, Minnesota; and his grandsons, Jordan Cushman of Sioux Falls, SD and John Winter of Boston, MA. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
