With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Howard John Friesen of Janesville, Minnesota, who passed away on July 25, 2025 at the age of 75. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John Friesen and Marie Friesen (Quiring); his parents-in-law, Ted and Evelyn Loudermilk; and his siblings, Lee and Verna.
He is survived by: his children, Holly Aasen (Chris) of Janesville, Kevin Friesen (Sarah) of Willmar and Kyle Friesen (Jen) of Eden Prairie; his grandchildren, Zacary, Alyssa (Trevor), Jenna (Zander), Anna, Brylen, Bella Aasen, Emma, Matthew, Joshua Friesen, Kate and Kaleb Friesen; his wife Rhonda Jo Loudermilk; his siblings, Sandra Warling of Little Rock, AR, Shirley Dick (Arnold) of Long Prairie and Roger Friesen of Minnetonka; and his sisters-in-law, Sybil Minion of Brandon, SD and Janelle Friesen of Ashland, OH. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 31st 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Janesville Chapel (107 N Skookum St, Janesville, MN 56048). A funeral service will be held on Friday, August 1st 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Hilltop United Methodist Church (108 S Manitou Dr, Mankato, MN 56001). A burial will be held on Friday, August 1st 2025 at the Tivoli Cemetery (21598 Marble Rd, Eagle Lake, MN 56024).
