With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Richard Portner of Lafayette, Minnesota, born in Sleepy Eye, Minnesota, who passed away on December 1, 2020 at the age of 84. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his brothers, Willard, Gary and Eugene Portner; his brothers-in-law, Tom Morse, James Clyne and Ronald Stueber; and his parents, Arthur Portner and Clara Portner (Seidl).
He is survived by: his wife JoAnn Portner; his children, Wayne, Sheri (Bohlmann) of Lafayette, Alyssa, Bradley, Katelyn, Craig, Terri Portner (Beranek) of Lafayette, Robyn, Ryan, Adam, Alex, Neil, Patti (Buechler) of Coal Valley, IL, Kyle, Jarod, Renae Herget (James) of Apple Valley, Andrew, John and Benjamin; and his sisters-in-law, Margaret "Gus" Portner and Phyllis Portner. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and extended family.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the St. Gregory the Great's Cemetery Fund.
