She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas Schmidt and Rita Marcella Schmidt (Sexton); her in-laws, Cleo and Alona Bluhm; her sister Dana; and her brother-in-law Roger Reuper.
She is survived by: her husband Dave; her children, Michelle Luhman (Terrill) of Zumbro Falls and John Bluhm (Angie Herber) of Kasson; her grandchildren, Paige, Wyatt Luhman, Avery Bluhm and Trenton Bjerke; her siblings, Diane Walden of Lake City, Sue Bee of Lake City, Joe Schmidt (Juli) of Lake City, Steve Schmidt of Lake City, Gary Schmidt (Vicki) of Lake City, David Schmidt of Lake City, Paul Schmidt (Julee) of Lake City, Karen Collins (Chad) of Lake City and Rose McNamara (David) of Goodhue; and her in-laws, Diane Johnson (Corey) of Red Wing, Dennis Bluhm (Diane) of Red Wing, Bruce Dugstad (Deb) of Red Wing and Daryl Bluhm (Linda) of Zumbro Falls. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 28th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Friday, May 29th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A Mass will be held on Friday, May 29th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the St. Mary's of the Lake Catholic Church (1022 W Lyon Ave, Lake City, MN 55041).
She made the generous decision to donate her body to the Mayo Clinic in the hope of helping others through medical education and research.
