He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Blegen and Alma Blegen (Sandquist); and his wife Barbara. He is survived by: his children, Kurt Blegen (Kimberly Franckowiak) and Corrie Hackbarth (Bill); his grandchildren, Isaak Hackbarth, Garin Hackbarth and Benjamin Blegen; his sister Sonie Hanrahan; and his sister-in-law Susan Alrick (Mark Anderson).
