He was predeceased by: his wife Joyce "Toby"; his parents, Roseamond Morris and Glen Morris; and his brothers, Clayton and Harold Leach.

He is survived by: his children, Lorri Salisbury (Gary), Richard Jr. "Rick" Leach (Deb) and Dale Leach (Sue); and his siblings, Bruce Morris, Larry Morris, Debbie Morris and Trudy Morris.

Due to Covid-19, services will be private.
