He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Mallak and Delores Mallak (Wochnik); his brother David Mallak (Shelia); his parents-in-law, Ed and Louise LeMieur; and his nephew Frank Handeland.
He is survived by: his former wife Patricia LeMieur; his wife Patty Mallak of Little Falls, MN; his son Jake Schwanke (Shelly) of St. Cloud, MN; his sisters, Mary Dreiling-Herold (Kurt) of Little Falls, MN and Gloria Welle (Glen) of Otsego, MN; his brother-in-law Doug LeMieur (Rita) of Sobieski, MN; and his grandchildren, Zach, Alex and Nick Schwanke.
