He was predeceased by: his parents, Leonard Maciej and Rosemary Maciej (Kalis); his wife LeAnn Maciej of Edward's Catholic Church; his sister Theresa Maciej; his sibling's children, Vernon, Eric Oldakowski and Kalie Olson; and his close friend Rick Lehrke.

He is survived by: his children, Tiffani Maciej of Little Falls, MN, Abby Maciej (Jordan Ulbricht) of Sartell, MN and Jonathan Maciej (Desiree Dingmann) of St. Cloud, MN; and his siblings, Cindy Maciej (Rick Puchalla), Tim Maciej, Eva Maciej, Lori Waytashek (Brad), Lisa Knopik and Kelly Maciej (Tonya). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
