It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Richard Michael Sadlemyer of Long Prairie, Minnesota, who passed away on June 15, 2025, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Louis Sadlemyer and Rosalie Sadlemyer (Doese); his sisters, Susan Colby and Fae Whissemore; his brothers-in-law, Wayne Christensen and Dr. Richard Simonson; and his parents-in-law, Leslie and Hazel Simonson.
He is survived by: his wife Carol; his children, Leslie Russell (Forrest) and Jason Sadlemyer (Lacei); his grandchildren, Chrisob Sadlemyer (Anna), Ellie Russell, Zachariah Sadlemyer and William Russell; his sister LuRae Christensen; and his brothers-in-law, Grant Whissemore and William Simonson. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Monday, June 23rd 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM and on Tuesday, June 24th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, June 24th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Zion Lutheran Church (1021 N Park Ave, Browerville, MN 56438). A burial will be held on Tuesday, June 24th 2025 at the Evergreen Cemetery.
