She was predeceased by : her parents, George Wiertsema and Lena Wiertsema (Frey); her parents-in-law, Edward and Esther Hardies; and her brothers, Roger and Harlan Wiertsema.

She is survived by : her husband Ray Hardies of Paul's Lutheran Church; her sons, James Hardies (Laurie) of Eagan, MN and John Hardies (Cindy Floysand) of Faribault, MN; her grandchildren, Jeff Hardies of Albert Lea, MN and Kassi Mondeel (Daniel) of Champlin, MN; and her great grandchild Simon Andrews. She is also survived by many aunts, uncles, two sisters-in-law, nieces, and nephews.
