He was loved and cherished by many people including: his spouse Carol Van Engelenhoven; his parents, Norman Wessels and Joyce Wessels of Luverne; his children, Christal Serie (Dan) of Luverne and April Sailor (Luverne); his grandchildren, Carly, Ben, Will, Tori Serie, Lexxus Wessels, Hazel and Griffin Sailor; his siblings, Linda Schoon (Richard Knapper) and Mark Wessels (Lin) of Rock Rapids, IA; his niece Karie Schoon; his nephews, Aaron Schoon (Megan) and Sam Wessels; his son Andy Wessels; and his granddaughter Lucie Sailor.
