In the vast expanse of eternity, Lorraine Laura shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Lorraine Laura farewell, her loved ones carry with them the precious gift of her memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
She was predeceased by : her parents, Carl Knickrehm and Laura Knickrehm (Lange); her former life partner Charles Snyder of Madelia, MN; her husband Donald Sawatzky; her grandson Christopher McMullen; and her son-in-law Jeff Halverson.
She is survived by : her daughters, Kathyanne Halverson of Madelia and Jeanne McMullen (Bill) of Madelia; her sister Elaine Henze (Don) of Mountain Lake; and her stepchildren, Nettie and Darren Sawatzky. She is also survived by four grandchildren, nine great grandchildren.
The family requests any donations to be made to Living Meadows Nursing Home, Mayo Hospice or the Watonwan County Humane Society.
