It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Iona Mae Monson of Madison, Minnesota, who passed away on May 20, 2021, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Melvin Crosby and Stella Crosby (Howard); her son Bryan Monson; her brother Keith Crosby of Montevideo; her grandparents, Joe, Anna Crosby, George and Ronda Howard; her granddaughter Katie Marie; her nephew Jeff Crosby; and her aunt Zelda Goggin.
She is survived by: her husband James of Madison; her children, Daryl (Michele) of Montevideo, MN, Alan Monson (Jane) of Madison, MN, Kevin Monson (Shannon) of Dawson, MN, Robyn Monson of Lincoln, NE and Richard Monson (Mary) of Lincoln, NE; and her brother Richard Crosby (Andrea) of Odessa, MN.. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
Iona's family would request in lieu of flowers that memorials be given to the Lac qui Parle Hope Network or a charity of your choice.
