She was predeceased by: her father James Ess; her sons, Scottie and James; and her siblings-in-law, Dan Kooiker, George Geertsma and Sharon Van Ess.
She is survived by: her mother Alice Van Ess (Roeters) of Monroe, WA; her husband Harlyn Kooiker; her children, Alisa Honken (Jason), Kirk Kooiker (Amanda) of Surprise, AZ, Karl Kooiker (Sarah) and Diana Kooiker; and her grandchildren, Andrea, Josh, Allison and Marina. She is also survived by three brothers; four sisters, along with their spouses; four brothers-in-law; and four sisters-in-law, and their spouses; and many nieces & nephews.
