She was predeceased by : her parents, Martin Volkert and Elsie Volkert (Bruggeman); and her husband John Sjulstad. She is survived by : her children, Cynthia Leffert (David) of Cooper City, FL, Greg Sjulstad (Patti) of North Mankato, Barb Oberle (Mark) of Mankato, Lori Vandertie (Mike) of Austin, Doug Sjulstad (Karen) of Mankato and David Sjulstad (Koni) of Eagan; her grandchildren, Ryan, Lisa, Jeffrey, Adam, Thomas, Thad, Leann, Nathan, Trent, Dan, Eric, Krista, Ben and Brittney; her great grandchildren, Scott, Sara, Reagan, Paisley, Paxton and Theia; and her granddaughter Susana Bordi. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Thursday, May 2nd 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the Christ the King Lutheran Church (222 Pfau St, Mankato, MN 56001). A celebration of life was held on Thursday, May 2nd 2024 at 11:30 AM at the same location.
