He was predeceased by: his parents, Dao Khac Minh and Ha Thi Tu; and his wife Huynh Mau Don. He is survived by: his son Nguyen Su; his daughter-in-law Trung Tran; his son Thanh Su; his daughter-in-law Hiep Su; his children, Phuong Su and Thuong Su; his daughter-in-law Nga Phan; his daughter Dung Su; his children-in-law, Sinh Chang and Nga Pho; his son Ba Su; his daughter-in-law Thieu Mai Nguyen; his grandchildren, Ha Su, Suong Su, Hung Su (Jenny Su), David Su, Diana, Cuong Su (Jenny To), Dan Su, Kevin Su, Andrew Su, Randy Chang (Cindy Vuong), Emily Chang, Desiree Su, Christopher Su, Tiffany Su, Matthew Su and Melissa Su; his great grandchildren, Quinn Su, Nora Su, Emmett Su, Ian Su and Ellie Chang; and his daughter Phan Su. He is also survived by his children and grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Monday, September 1st 2025 from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the North Mankato Mortuary (2060 Commerce Dr, North Mankato, MN 56003). A burial was held on Monday, September 1st 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Glenwood Cemetery (711 Glenwood Ave, Mankato, MN 56001).
