He was predeceased by: his wife Margaret; his siblings, Jules, Mary Kerkaert and Margaret Boogaard; his nephew Ed Boogaard; and his niece Janet Madden.
He is survived by: his children, Sharon, Root of Marshall, Patti Almich of Marshall, Gary, Verstraete of Marshall and Kathy; his granddaughter Stacy; his great grandchildren, Nick and Isabelle; his grandson Robert Shatto; his great grandchildren, Owen, Brianna, Caden and Mylie; his grandson Ricky; his great grandchildren, Lilliana, Braedyn and Emilia; his granddaughter Nicole; his great grandchildren, Noah, Gage and Ethan; his granddaughter Jeana; his great grandchildren, Emma and Adalyn; his granddaughter Heather Blomme; his nephew Dennis; and also, Pagano, Borth and Ziegler. He is also survived by relatives and friends.
