He was predeceased by: his parents, Leo Hennen and Isabelle Hennen (Jennen); his brothers, Ralph and Conrad; his siblings-in-law, Allan VanKeulen, Vincent Bot, Ted Versluys and Kate Versluys; and his grandson Christopher Hennen.

He is survived by: his wife Marjorie Versluys; his sons, Greg Hennen (Twyla) of Ghent, Mike Hennen (Pam) of Minneota, Tom Hennen of Wendell, Rick Hennen (Stacey) of Ghent and Joe Hennen (Kelly) of Ghent; his grandchildren, Amberly Crowley (Cory), Allan Hennen (Jessica), Adam Hennen, Brandon Hennen (Angie), Cassi Hodder (Matt), Hayley Fruin (Cody), Ashley Dahl (Jordan), Mariah Hennen, Austin Hennen, Jonah Hennen, Sam Hennen, Seth Hennen, Shane Hennen (Rachel), Summer Hennen, Brooke Guetter (Daren), Trent Hennen (Brooke), Walker Hennen (Faith) and Cole Hennen; his siblings, Jack Hennen (Terry), Judy Bot, Rona VanKeulen, David Hennen (Diane) and Kris Teberg (Curt); and his sisters-in-law, Margaret Mitchell and Elaine Hennen. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to Avera Morningside Heights, Avera at Home Hospice, or St. Edward Catholic School.
