He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Roberts and Dorothy Roberts (Cook); his aunt Margaret Cole; his uncle Mose Roberts; his brothers, Roger and Larry; his grandparents, John, Mable Roberts (Vogt), Archie and Dora Ann Cook (Weber); his siblings-in-law, Grace Roberts, Helen Lamprecht and Bruce DeGroot; and his uncle Kenny.
He is survived by: his spouse Beverly DeGroot; his children, David Roberts of Mankato, Vallerie Breczinski (Denny) of Marshall, Kathy Lanners (Dale) of Marshall and John "Johnny" Roberts of Marshall; his grandchildren, Nathan Roberts, Matthew Roberts, Brent Breczinski, Christine Lanners, Derek Breczinski, Julie Lanners and Zach Roberts; his great grandchild Becca Roberts; and his siblings, Jan Bergjord of Fulda, Charlotte Miller of Marshall, Delbert (Carla) of New Ulm, Bill of Eden Prairie, Dick of Marshall, Ron (Marlene) of Plymouth, Tim (Theresa) of Fulda and Terry (Minnette) of Mapleton. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and friends.
