With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Lawrence R. Hillstead of Mendota Heights, Minnesota, born in Big Falls, Minnesota, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on April 12, 2024. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by : his parents, Ralph Hillstead and Regina Hillstead (Wilkowski). He is survived by : his wife Judy (Sifferle); his children, Tom (Danielle), Laura Smith (Don), Rita Thoemke (Brian) and Brian (Beth Lovro); and his grandchildren, Ashley, Evan Smith (Eryn Miles), Cassie Meyers (Cody), Jordan Hillstead (Matthew Bauer), Catie Thoemke (Hiram Diez), Clara and Leah Thoemke.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, May 1st 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Church of St. Peter (1405 State Hwy 13, Mendota, MN 55150). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Wednesday, May 1st 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.

Memorials preferred to Saint Peter's Historic Church or the Dorothy Day Place, St. Paul.
