She was predeceased by: her parents, Nels Hamberg and Olga Hamberg (Lorenson); her former spouse Ervind Strandberg; her husband Larry Peterson; her son-in-law Larry Bakke; her granddaughter Jessie Cervantes (Bakke); her sister Judy Darby; and her sister-in-law Karen Hamberg.
She is survived by: her daughter Heidi Strandberg (Rick Bergen) of Mesa, AZ; her grandchildren, Darrin (Lorrie) of Warroad, MN, Darrel (Julie) of Middle River, Craig Bakke (Emily), Nikki Howard (John), Michael Peterson (Stephanie), Jacquelyn Peterson, Alan Peterson, Dallas Peterson and Jayden Peterson; her great grandchildren, Oliver, Philip, Juliette, Nolan and Tate; and her brother Duane Hamberg of Elk, WA.. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 12th 2025 at 5:00 PM and on Friday, June 13th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the First Lutheran Church (210 Park Ave, Middle River, MN 56737). A prayer will be held on Thursday, June 12th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A funeral service will be held on Friday, June 13th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers memorials are preferred to First Lutheran WELCA and Spruce Valley Cemetery.
