It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Delores Estelle Ponessa (Minneapolis, Minnesota), who passed away on July 11, 2025, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Clarence Borman and Elsie Borman; and her husband Russell Ponessa. She is survived by: her children, Nancy Ponessa, Paula Eckel (Joe), Angela Filer (Phil), Russ Ponessa (Lisa), Lisa Baker (Dave) and Teresa Ponessa (Patrick Morrison); and her close friend Dorothy Pavelka. She is also survived by her 12 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to the Animal Humane Society of Minnesota or Sharing and Caring Hands.
