He was predeceased by: his wife Verna; his parents, Marvin and Lillian; and his brothers, Burdell and Darwin.

He is survived by: his children, Jeff (Barb), Bryan (Barb) and Koni Heyda (Mitch); and his sister-in-law Nancy Snesrud. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Friday, November 7th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Mount Olivet Lutheran Church (5025 Knox Ave S, Minneapolis, MN 55419). A celebration of life was held on Friday, November 7th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location.
