She was predeceased by: her parents, Lloyd Berard and Patricia Berard; and her son-in-law Kevin Messner. She is survived by: her husband Milton Hyland; her daughter Lisa Messner; her siblings, Sue Suedbeck and Tom Berard; and her in-laws, Beverly Berard, John Suedbeck, Nancy Champagne, Mary Stenger, Greg Champagne and John Stenger. She is also survived by nephews as well as many friends.
