He was predeceased by: his parents, Helmick Nelson and Olga Nelson; his wife Patricia; and his sons, David and Steven.
He is survived by: his daughter Leslie Johnson (Tom); his grandchildren, Jeff, Andrew, Lindy, Tori, Lexy, Bella, Lindsey and Ben; and his daughters-in-law, Barbara Nelson and Diana Nelson.
In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to the Minnetonka Tennis Club- Nelson Fund, or The Glenn Minnetonka, for memory care music therapy.
