He was predeceased by: his parents, Harriet E. Hoffman and Elliott B. Hoffman. He is survived by: his wife Roberta; his sons, Edward (Lauren) and David (Rachael); his grandchildren, Maxwell, Tessa, Avery, Ryan and Simon; his brother Michael Hoffman (Elizabeth); and his brother-in-law Charles Davis (Sheila). He is also survived by loving cousins, nieces and nephews.
