She was predeceased by: her husbands, Gordon Shafer and Martin Milstein; her parents, Ben Chesin and Sarah Chesin; and her brothers, Nate (Sally), Percy (Helen) and Jack Chesin (Rose).
She is survived by: her children, Harvey Shafer, Elaine Rosen (Rick) and Joanne Shafer (Dieterich Spahn); her stepchildren, Mike Milstein (Annie), Arlene Gulton and Sheryl Gordon (Jeff); her brother Maury Chesin; and her grandchildren, Ari, Amy, Alissa, Sheri, Jennifer, Kevin, David and Alan.
In lieu of flowers memorials preferred to Sholom Home West, Alzheimer's Association or donor's favorite charity.
