He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralph Cushman and Mabel Cushman (Allen); his son Rick Cushman; his siblings, Allen Cushman, Leland Cushman and Lois Madden-Reiman; his brother-in-law Jerome Madden; and his nephew Scott Madden.
He is survived by: his wife Joan Gjerset; his children, Lori Knutson of Battle Lake, MN and Tim Cushman (Kathy); his grandchildren, Kari Huntley (DJ Kirking), Steve Huntley (Ali), Kristi Melmer (Sean), Kayla Boike (Ryan), Alicia Hofer (Colin), Andrea Cushman and Benjamin Cushman (Alexis); his great grandchildren, Jaden, Kingston, Brooks, Cole and Alayna; his brother Byron Cushman (Melinda) of Chippewa Falls, WI; and his sibling's children, Mark, Brian, Holli, Diane, Brenda, Nancy, Mike and Steve. He is also survived by other extended family and friends.
