She was predeceased by : her parents, Anton Dohmen and Christina Dohmen (Niebur); her husband Richard M. Schmitz; her son Roman Schmitz; and her siblings, Robert, Denny, Ray, Albin Dohmen, Rita Wiley and Jane Schmitz.
She is survived by : her children, Dorothy Wagner of Dover, NH, Susan Andresen (Harvey) of Luling, LA, John Schmitz (Cindy) of New Prague, Judy Gebhardt (Russell) of New Prague and Alice Nytes (Bob) of New Prague; her daughter-in-law Shelly Schmitz of Belle Plaine; her siblings, Marilyn Odenthal of Arlington, Armella Hinderscheit of Montgomery and Mike Dohmen of West Memphis, AR; and her sisters-in-law, Dorothy Dohmen of Montgomery and Marion Dohmen of Monett, MO. She is also survived by 16 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren.
