She was predeceased by: her parents, John C Pomije and Mary Pomije (Simota); her husband Edward J. Shimota, Sr.; her sister Janet Novotny of Marion Flicek; and her brothers-in-law, Elmer Flicek and Tony Dobmeier.
She is survived by: her children, Erlene, Fitzpatrick of Shieldsville, Patty, Giesen of Union Hill, Cheryl, Pikal of New Prague, Susie Schmitt of Star Prairie, WI, Cindy Ambroz of Prior Lake, Edward, Jr. and Shimota of Veseli; her sisters, JoAnn (Petricka) and Grace Dobmeier of Montgomery; and her brother-in-law Alfred Novotny of New Prague. She is also survived by 19 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren.
