He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Jr. Filipek and Mary Ann Filipek (Janouch); and his siblings, Louis, Eugene, Robert, Agnes Richter, MaryAnn McKeirnan and Marlene Filipek.

He is survived by: his wife Patricia (Vollmer); his children, Tim Filipek, Amy Card (Jim), Nick Filipek (Erin), Tony Filipek (Jodi), Jessa Ellingsworth (Steve) and Patrick Filipek (Shana); and his sister Evalyn Berg.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Most Holy Redeemer Church, 206 West Vine Ave, Montgomery, MN 56069 in Jim's name.
