He is survived by: his former wife Ruth Marie Tupy; his wife Ruth Marie Barta; his children, Allan Barta (Gail) of Eagan, David Barta (Lucy) of New Prague, Monica Odenthal (Ken) of New Prague, Anita Rynda (Chuck) of Montgomery and Paula Novak (Todd) of Montgomery; his grandchildren, Michael Meschke, Mark Rynda (Daniel), Megan Brockway (Tim), Emily Barta, Chris Meschke (Nicole), Carrie Rynda, Maggie Nicolin (Andrew) and Daniel Barta (Lauren); his great grandchildren, Luke Brockway and Joe Brockway; and his sisters, Mary Ann Maruska of New Prague and Ann Schaak (Marvin) of New Prague.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred.
