Lennis Matter Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Lennis Matter of Springfield, Minnesota, who passed away on July 16, 2025 at the age of 81. Though Lennis may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Lennis touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Matter and Ann Matter (Groebner); and his siblings, Lucille Neid (Al), Dennis (Carol) and Barb Christensen (Milo).
He is survived by: his siblings, Delores Fink (Alois), Vernon, Mary Willhite (Ron), Diane Templin (Art), John Matter (Audrey) and Joann Johnston (Mike). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Monday, July 21st 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Tuesday, July 22nd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Tuesday, July 22nd 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the St. Raphael's Catholic Church (112 W Van Dusen St, Springfield, MN 56087).
