She was predeceased by : her father Theodore Sr. Banken; her husband Ronald Bruer; her granddaughter Stephanie Thurk; her mother Marie Banken Sr. (Hennen); her siblings, Ted Banken Jr., Greg Banken and Cheryl Banken; and her sisters-in-law, Fern Bruer and Joan Bruer.

She is survived by : her children, Laurie Henneberg (Randy) of Appleton, Julie Lund (Jerrie) of Alexandria, Kevin Bruer of Fargo, ND, Dawn Gades (David) of Holloway, Doug Bruer (Annette) of Fargo, ND, Jeff Bruer of West Fargo, ND and Jodi Thurk (Chris) of Lakefield; her grandchildren, Todd Henneberg (Amanda), Kelli Olson (Dylan), Cory Henneberg, Ashley Thompson (Blake), Brett Lund (Jennifer), Callie Lund, Josh Gades (Danielle), Nathan Gades (Nicole), Courtney Gades, Taylor Volberding (Alex), Michelle Bruer, Emily Bruer, Jasmine Wilkins (Daniel), Braxton Bruer, Jordan Bruer, Megan Seifert (Eric), Lindsey DeGraaf (Jon), Brandon Thurk and Jeremy Thurk; her siblings, Bev Muehlbauer (Lloyd), Dick Banken (Pat), Janice Koosman (Jerome), Sue Heinecke (Jeff), Jim Banken (Janine), Mary Jo Isaacson (Dean), Marilyn Strain (Rick) and Gary Banken (Sharon); and her siblings-in-law, Phyllis Banken, Linda Banken, LuDean Bruer (Rita), Myron Bruer and Victor Bruer (Carol). She is also survived by 17 great-grandchildren.
