She was predeceased by: her parents, Clarence Splettestoeszer and Lydia Splettestoeszer (Dummer); her former husband Gerald Backlund; her grandson Jerred McKee; her husband Duane Skochnski; her stepson Mark Skochenski; and her siblings, Vernon Splettstoeszer, Wallace Splettstoeszer, Bernice Leistiko (Marvin), Alice Lindner (Edgar), Gladys Taylor (Earl) and Clarence Splettstoeszer (Nancy).
She is survived by: her children, James Backlund (Leanne), Wendy Sundeen (Gary) and Susan McKee; her stepsons, Jeff Skochenski and David Skochenski (Linda); her grandchildren, Eric (Shannon), Brian (Heather), Emily (Luke), Leslie (Dan), Lindsay (Seth), Luke (Ashley), Jonothon (Amanda) and Joseph (Nicole); her stepgrandchildren, David Jr., Amanda, Kayla and Kyle; and her sister-in-law Doris Splettstoeszer of Watertown. She is also survived by 17 great-grandchildren; 2 step-great-grandchildren.
