He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry and Minerva. He is survived by: his wife Phyllis; his children, JoEllen Ambrose (Bill), Dave Jessen (Holly), Mark Jessen (Peggy) and LeeAnn Melin (John); his grandchildren, Dan (Krista), Laura (Caleb), Erik (Erica), Ben, Ryan, Henry, Kelly, Luke, Jackson and Mitchell; and his sister Cathie Willmert. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to Dunwoody College of Technology Scholarship Fund or St. John's Lutheran Church Building Fund.
