With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Elaine Ashford of New Brighton, Minnesota, born in Grandy, Minnesota, who passed away on March 6, 2022 at the age of 83. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Reuben Axell and Martha Axell (Charles Mamakos). She is survived by: her sister Janet Axell; her sister-in-law Carol Mellon (William); her children, Randal Ashford (Yoko), Evelyn Ashford, Richard Ashford Jr. (Shampa Biswas), Robert Ashford (Miroslava) and Laura Hjort (William); her grandchildren, Ezekiel, Ishan, Samir, Majalisa, Gustaf, Aurora, Malena and Hanna; and her former husbands, Richard Ashford and Charles Mamakos. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family.
