She was predeceased by : her parents, Leslie Schwarten and Muriel Schwarten (Hamilton). She is survived by : her husband Byron Schmid of Blaine; her children, Allison Iwan (Chris) of Lino Lakes and Paul of Tallahassee, FL; and her brothers, Dr. James Schwarten of Billings, MT and Dr. Stephen Schwarten of Stanchfield, MN. She is also survived by three grandchildren.
