He was predeceased by: his parents, Amy Anderson (Horkman) and Orland Anderson; his wife Mary Peppel; his brother Klennes (Shirley); and his sister-in-law Maxine.

He is survived by: his children, Scott, Nancy McRae (Joe), Kenna, Ellie and Brian; and his brothers, Vernon of New Hope, MN and Clair Anderson (Pat) of Hawley, MN. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family.
