We are sad to announce that on March 6, 2022 we had to say goodbye to Craig Allen Nelson of New London, Minnesota, born in Willmar, Minnesota. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Leonard Nelson and Jessie Nelson; his close friend Virginia Carr of Mankato, MN; his siblings, Renae Keesbury (George) of Statesville, NC, Leonard Nelson (Linda) of New London, MN, Denise Kalevik (Greg) of Ironton, MN and Mark Nelson (Ardis) of Annandale, MN.; and his siblings' children, Jeremy Kalevik, Todd Kalevik (Nicole), Aron Keesbury (Rebecca Carey), Sybil Keesbury Martin (Steve), Tracy Mongan (Jake), Ben Kalevik (Nicole), Christina Helmbrecht (Jeff), Kirsten Nelson Roenfeldt (Steve), Peter Nelson (Jane Becker), Elizabeth Hallquist (Jeremy), Amanda Hopp (Brandon) and Sarah Nelson.

He was also a writer and recently published a book of Haiku that he wrote during the pandemic.

In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting you make a donation in his name to the charity of your choice.

“Craig and I have been friends since 1968....the moment I entered Gustavus Adolphus College. Craig never forgot a birthday or a special event in a friend's life. He has maintained contacts with friends all over the world Craig and I messaged back and forth and my last message was a great musical video on my birthday, Feb. 10th, The saying, " Give him a lemon and he will make lemonade" was how I view Craig Give him a pandemic and he gives us a work of art and a glimpse of how he sees the world.”
