He is survived by: his wife Janet Platz; his children, Connie Platz of North Mankato, Carrie Forst of New Ulm, Paul Platz (Donita) of Lafayette, Jeff Platz (Ellen) of Sheboygan, WI, Brad Platz (Judy) of Hutchinson and Bruce Platz (Laurie) of Lafayette; his grandchildren, Eric, Phillip, Alex, Lexi, Bridget, Ryan, Rachel, Evan, Mariah, Cassidy, Jarrett, Kolbe and Logan; his great grandchild Emmett; his sister Marion Roiger of Springfield; his sisters-in-law, Joyce Platz, Elaine Polzin, Gloria Platz, Mary Schmitz and Florence Fennern; his brothers, Jim Platz (Judy) of Hudson, WI, Tom Platz (Jeri) of Springfield, Bernie Platz of Webster, SD and Pat Platz (Debbie) of Sparks, NV; and his brothers-in-law, Larry Sell, Cal Bolinder and Leo Schmitz.
