He was predeceased by: his parents, Marion Melzer (Schapekahm) and Alton Melzer; his parents-in-law, Noreen and Thomas Sugden; and his niece Natti Eve Melzer.
He is survived by: his wife Ginger Melzer of New Ulm; his children, Heather Haala (Tanar) of Fairfax and Heath Melzer (Sherina) of Hansville, Washington; his grandchildren, Brittany Doll (Andrew) of Fairfax, Ty Haala (Bridget Kavan) of Gibbon and Tim Melzer (Katie Wallen) of Washington; his great grandchild Jaxxyn Doll; his brother Randy Melzer (Nancy) of New Ulm; his aunt Dorothy "Honey" Schaper of New Ulm; his nieces, Naci and Rylee Melzer; his nephew Roddy Melzer (Anna); and also, Ted Pelzel and Mixed Choir.
Memorials are preferred to St. Paul's Lutheran Church and School, MVL, MLC, Woodstone Senior Living, or the donor's choice.
