She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Schmatt and Blanche Schmatt (Tanner); her husband Waymon Shelton; her siblings, Charles Jr., Edward Schmatt, Francis Trefney and Audrey Ratzlaff; her daughter Karen Jean; her son-in-law David Fithen; her grandson Guillermo Shelton (Memo); and her parents-in-law, Arthur and Lovitta Shelton (Ward).
She is survived by: her children, Michael, James Shelton and Sandra Fithen; her daughter-in-law Janet Shelton; and her grandchildren, Melissa Baardsen (Warren), Ryan Fithen (Jessica), Carrie Myers, Michael Shelton (Mellissa) and Jennifer Clement (Alex).
