He was predeceased by: his parents, Rupert Johnson and Esther Johnson (Ogroske); his brother Henry "Bud" Johnson; and his parents-in-law, Leo and Deloris Klinnert.
He is survived by: his wife Helene; his children, Denise Lindsey (Rob) of Savage, MN, Scott Johnson of Fairbanks, AK, Shane Johnson (Whitney) of Lakeville, MN and Jeremiah Johnson of Maplewood, MN; his grandchildren, Elijah, Noah, Micah, Jonah Lindsey, Connor and Logan Johnson; his siblings, Bob Johnson (Pat) of San Diego, CA and Jean Johnson (Mike Michlovic) of Moorhead, MN; and his siblings-in-law, Marlene Johnson, John Klinnert (Jackie), Jim Klinnert (Vicky), Paul Klinnert (Diane), Mark Klinnert (Joan), Irene Dykhoff (Don), Marilyn Bernu (Roger) and Margaret Palan (Craig). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to The Bridge Community Pantry (Perham Food Shelf) of Perham.
