He was predeceased by: his parents, Archie Whitaker and Elva Whitaker (Buffington); his wife Berniece Whitaker; his parents-in-law, Lenzy and Anna Trigg; his son Steven Whitaker; his siblings, Verna Mae Erickson (Floyd) and Archie Whitaker Jr. (Geraldine); his siblings-in-law, Earl Trigg, Ray Trigg, Leonard Trigg, Ernie Meyer, Marian Trigg and Donna Trigg; and his nephews, Kraig Whitaker and David Trigg.
He is survived by: his children, Larry Whitaker (Dawn), Garry Whitaker, Terry Reinitz (Robert) and Donald Whitaker (Lisa); his grandchildren, Aaron Whitaker (Meranda), Jason Reinitz (Jami), Jeremy Reinitz (Summer), Jerad Reinitz, Samantha Shefveland, Derek Whitaker (Kayla), David Whitaker (Olivia) and Daniel Whitaker; and his siblings-in-law, Phyllis Trigg, Jean Trigg, Darlene Meyer and Bob Trigg (Lorraine). He is also survived by Nephews, Nieces, Other relatives and many friends.
