She was predeceased by: her parents, Arley Bucher and Vila Bucher (Hinz); her sister Janice; her mother-in-law Leone Carstensen; and her siblings-in-law, Nyla, Elmer Prinsen and Doris Carstensen.
She is survived by: her husband William "Bill" Carstensen; and her children, Scot Carstensen (Glenda) of Pipestone, Patti Carstensen (Mike Schadendorf) of Waseca, Mark Carstensen (Collette) of Deer River and Todd Carstensen (Lori) of George, Iowa. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren.
