He was predeceased by: his great-grandparent Lyback; his grandfather Skinny; his great-grandparent O'Neil; and his cousin Kate Maitland. He is survived by: his parents, Reed Maitland and Pearl Maitland; his siblings, Samantha Severson and Dylan Maitland; and his grandmothers, Sally Maitland, Nana Dupree and Peggy Stephan. He is also survived by many uncles, cousins, and friends.

He loved volunteering with the Special Olympics, advocating for blood drives, the importance of organ donation, and Support our Troops.
