He was predeceased by : his parents, John DeVries and Marie DeVries (Anderson); and his sister Karen Lee Burns. He is survived by : his wife Jean; his stepchildren, Carolyn Wavrin, Mary Siegmann (Terry Ferdinandt) of Madison, Minnesota, Mike Wavrin (Kris) of Bemidji, Dan Wavrin (Sue) of Puposky and Steve Wavrin (Deb) of Puposky; his grandchildren, Jason Meyer, Joel Meyer, Andrew Siegmann, Matthew Wavrin, Patrick Wavrin, Jacob Wavrin, Chelsea Morgan, Kate Huot and Ashleigh Wavrin; his siblings, Jill Parson (Charlie) and Jack DeVries (Karen); and his aunt Luella Gess. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
