She was predeceased by: her fathers, Rudy Matthees and Emile Matthees; her husband Lorenz; her son Kenneth Grote; and her siblings, Reynold and Irene.
She is survived by: her sons, Gary Grote and David Grote (Kathy Miller); and her grandchildren, Darcy Dickson (Bernard), Richard Grote (Patty Nilsen), Judi Grote (Tim Thompson), Chris Grote, Heather Hoaglin (Dustin) and Eric Grote (Jenni Morobitto). She is also survived by eight great-grandchildren, and many extended family.
